On Independence Day we share our time with Jim. Jim’s price for freedom is something you just can’t imagine. His is a decorated Cavalry Trooper in 1966-1967 in Vietnam awarded 2 Purple Hearts. Jim lost his son Mike in Iraq, another Cavalry trooper, in January of 2007. So after a crazy busy week, flooded basement, work, and all the other stuff we replace Jim’s flagpole after the storm ruined it. There was blood, sweat and tears. Those colors and our flag mean everything to him as the emotion showed. Seeing two Iraq vets helping honor and remember jim and his sacrifice and service was #priceless #veteranshelpingveterans #rememberthefallen #buildingthetribe we couldn’t have asked for a better way to bring in the holiday. Stay safe out there tribe.
The Reeling in Vets Fishing Expo was held on 6/30 in Leon, IA.
We had a great group of veterans and some of their kids join for a beautiful day of fishing.
Thank you to everyone that was able to make it. If you have additional photos you would like to share, please email them to Jamie@thetitanproject.org

America's Run for the Fallen ran through central Iowa in early June. The Titan Project and Titan Roofing and Exteriors were able to sponsor 3 flags for surviving family members this year thanks to generous donations.
Titan was able to sponsor flags for Alison Swanson (in memory of her father, SPC Roger Dreeszen) and Jamie Baraibar (in memory of her husband, 1LT Scott Baraibar) that were presented to them in Lewis, IA.
Titan also sponsored a flag for Mirela Green (in memory of her husband, SFC Harry Green) which was presented to her at the ceremony in Ottomwa, IA
Meet Myrt - she is a WWII Navy combat veteran. In June, we crashed Myrt's yard by doing some cleanup and landscaping.
Our very own Titan member, Jamie, was on hand during the DMACC In My Boots 5K sponsored screening of Almost Sunrise. Before the screening she participated in a panel discussion around moral injury, PTSD and suicide with Tom Voss, an Iraq War Veteran featured in the film.

In November we teamed up with the Dubuqueland Pheasant Forever and CSM (ret) Ron Schwendinger for fellowship, to build the tribe and to help vets. Titan was able to help sponsor this great yearly event. We encourage veterans to take part in events like these that provide outdoor therapy. The Dubuqueland PF banquet is coming up April 7th. They always recognize service members and have a raffle just for us. That means a great deal. A fun fact about #pheasantsforever is they put 90.2% of dollars raised into wildlife habitat mission, 7.4% towards fundraising and 2.4% in admin fees. Extremely well run organization with a great mission. Thanks to all who make these things happen. #hunting
We could not serve our community without the support and dedication of so many amazing people. Yesterday we were excited to give back to one of those people, a guy who has given so much to his community, friends and military family, Chaplain Manus. We gathered a crew and helped give the Manus family's yard a face-lift including a new garage roof...and had a little fun while we were at it!
Members of the Titan team were honored to help volunteer yesterday for the 8th Annual Iowa Remembrance Run. The Remembrance Run honors Iowa’s military casualties of war from Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation New Dawn
In August 2017, we were able to host a Reeling In Vets event in Dubuque. Local guild certified rod builder, Gary Land led a workshop for attendees to create their own unique fishing poles and SK Custom Lures graciously donated hand-painted lures for everyone to take home.
